More lil J updates................

Little J still has good days & bad feeding-wise........I cannot seem to figure out what makes the difference.

He seems to be a shy-guy so far. When I took him to my work so my co-workers could see him he cried about having all these strangers looking at him & in his face. He did the same at hubby's work too. He clearly knows when it's someone he knows & when it's a stranger.

He has learned that he can reach farther with his feet than with his arms...as his lower body is easier for him to lift than his upper body is. He is getting really good at using both feet together to grab things. It's really amazing to watch as he so purposefully & carefully executes things such as grabbing a burp cloth & dangling it over himself.

His 3 am feeding for the last 2 mornings has moved to 4:30 am, yahoo!!!!! We are hoping it gradually extends to later & later & then to us sleeping all the way through the night.

I've been wanting to take him swimming soooo badly. We now have 2 pairs of swim trunks for him now (one I bought & one his big sister bought). So far we just haven't had the time to take him. We are still very busy & have no "fun time" at all. But as soon as we do we'll take him & I'll be posting pics! And yeah I'll be putting on my bikini, but I doubt I'll be posting those pics, LOL!!

As for me I am extremely happy to report that I already have my flat stomach back!!!! I was very worried about my weight & my body with the pregnancy, but I still managed to gain a whopping 47 pounds by the end of the pregnancy. After delivery I lost 27 pounds (the weight of the baby, placenta, water bag, extra blood I'm pumping, as well as the swelling fluid in my hands, feet, & face the last month)--so I still had 20 more to lose.

At a week & a half after delivery I started taking daily hour long walks with little one in the stroller. By 2 weeks I felt like I hadn't even had surgery & by 3 weeks I started working out again. At 4 weeks I started my diet again. I am now 7 weeks into my diet & have lost 7 pounds--so I have 13 more to go, I am very pleased with those results!!!

Little J updates............

So little J continues to do pretty well feeding-wise. Well, except for yesterday--he was super fussy & refusing to takes naps & constantly demanding to be fed & throwing up all day until he finally was beyond exhausted around 6 pm & passed out & slept til 1 am. But today is back to normal & all is well. He remains on the formula that has rice starch in it.

He still wants one feeding somewhere during the night--somewhere between 1-5 am. He will go 8-10 hours between dinner (5-7 pm) & the middle of the night feeding, but still can't get it lined up so he'll sleep through the whole night on that 8-10 hours......hopefully someday soon.

Just before he turned 2 & 1/2 months he moved up to size 3 diapers. And when he turned 2 & 1/2 months he moved up to size 6 month clothes.

He still likes to kick & explore with his feet. He is using his hands more & more & starting to be able to pick up some things (like blankets & burp cloths) & hold things I place in his hand (pacifier, rattle).

I think he's teething also (& so does grandma)--lots of drool & wanting to chew on stuff rather than suck on stuff.

He also continues to "talk" quite often & now smiles in response to a smile (before he would only smile in response to hearing a laugh).

Grandma (my mom) came for a visit today & got to see him smile & talk, it was a very nice day.

formula & other updates...........

So here's a run-down of formulas we've tried in the order tried so far with little J...

1-enfamil
2-home-made organic
3-earth's best organic
4-enfamil
5-parent's choice gentle (for gassy, fussy babies)
6-parent's choice organic
7-enfamil
8-parent's choice organic
9-parent's choice with rice starch
10-parent's choice sensitive (lactose free)
11-parent's choice soy
12-isomil
13-parent's choice with rice starch

With the majority of these we had projectile vomiting. With some we also had loose & green stools.

A lot of people keep telling me it's totally normal for a baby to spit up, which I am aware of, but projectile vomiting & loose stools are never normal.

The worst he's done on the rice formula is spit up, sometimes it's a lot of spit up, but still not vomiting (& thank God not projectile vomiting) & stools are normal. I put him back on the tagamet for now (with the projectile vomiting it made no impact at all, but he's not spitting up at all now with the combo of rice formula & tagamet). I started it 3 times a day (as prescribed) the next day took it down to twice a day & now am giving only once a day. In a couple of days I'll stop giving it & see what happens (this is what the doc suggested I do with it).

At last.............we have some peace in our home.

In other baby news--twice now he has gone 9 1/2 hours between feedings. But of course this doesn't mean we get to sleep through the night yet (we're still waiting anxiously for that day!)--it goes from the 5 pm or 7 pm feeding to the middle of the night. I did try to wake him at 10 or 11 pm the other night & "top off his tank". He only took 2 ounces (most feedings are 7 ounces) & still woke up at 4 am hungry...ho hum....but we are making progress. During the day he usually takes 7 ounces every 3 hours, sometimes he'll stretch it to 4 hours. He rarely sleeps in his crib, spends most nights in the swing. It's funny cuz we bought the swing when he was 4 days old & it was supposed to have 5 speeds, but only had one. It was really fast for him, so we didn't use it much. Then later on we pulled it out to use at night when he was fussy & we noticed it was going slower. It's been getting slower & slower as time goes on even though we've changed batteries. We couldn't understand it, but finally hubby figured it out--little one is getting heavier so that's making it slower, LOL!!! We're going to look & see if we can find one with more horse-power or that goes up to more weight (I think this one said it goes up to 20 lbs & he's getting close!). This one is also really noisy, getting noisier as time goes on & has never had the 5 speeds, so we're gonna try to return it.

He is now 15 lbs, has doubled his birth weight. He just moved up to size 3 diapers 2 days ago. When he moved up to size 2 diapers (right around one month old) he outgrew his size 0-3 month clothes the next day. So far he's still in his 3-6 month clothes, but they are pretty snug--any day now he'll be done with them me thinks.

He is now "talking" up a storm!! Always cooing & making other such verbalizations. I "talk" back & encourage this as much as I can. It's really cute & I'm sure it'll help him to learn to express himself & his needs & learn how to really talk later on. He also is very smiley & happy most of the time.

I'm starting to see a nap pattern developing I think. And I'm starting to see him get cranky when he needs his nap & can't sleep (too much noise &/or activity going on). I am working on getting him to nap in his crib (which he is right now) so he can maybe relearn the habit of sleeping in the crib so we can get out of the sleeping only in the swing habit we've developed.

I think that's all the updates I have for now....................

Finding the right formula...........

.....baby formula, that is.............

While still in the hospital little one had periods of fussiness, but it was all so new & unknown that we didn’t realize it would become a pattern.

In the hospital we had him on enfamil (I was/am unable to breastfeed). We did notice he had a hard time sucking, but somehow we thought he’d get better at it over time.

I had been planning to make my own formula & had some made & frozen at home that we just needed to thaw out. Shortly after we got home we made the switch & at first all seemed well. Little one really liked the formula. Only as the day went on we noticed him getting more & more hungry & scarfing his food down frantically. Somehow it wasn’t satisfying him—I’m assuming it wasn’t enough calories or not enough ‘something’.
At that point I decided I wanted to put him on an organic formula sold in the healthy grocery stores. Earth’s Best is the brand. It’s very expensive, but we felt it was worth it. This one was a no go from the start. He projectile vomited the whole thing immediately after eating it. We even tried 2 separate feedings just to see if the first one was a fluke. So back to enfamil we went.

The overall gassiness & fussiness continued to increase over time. He still struggled with sucking & choking. We were originally using the playtex drop-in bottles, but none of the nipples seemed to be slow enough for him, so we ended up switching to Dr. Brown bottles & it was somewhat better, though he was still struggling somewhat. I found that I liked these bottles better than the playtex though, so I stuck with them. Little one met all the qualifications of colic. We just assumed this is what we were stuck with until he was 3 months or so. We had tried gripe water (which made him throw up), probiotics (also made him throw up), mylicon drops (didn’t change a thing) & homeopathic colic tablets (helped a little initially, but didn’t last & no longer do anything). Finally, hubby was talking with people at work & found that several of them had had colicky babies & that their babies had also been on enfamil. At this point we decided to switch formula once again.

This time we tried Parent’s Choice Gentle formula. It says it’s for “gassy, fussy babies”, which he certainly is. But I didn’t like the ingredients (#1 is corn syrup solids) & it gave him loose stools, so then we tried the Parent’s Choice Organic formula. At first it seemed all was great. He did still struggle with sucking & not choking on his food, but we were trying to teach him to not do that. About a week after he went on this formula he started having loose green stools. And then a day or two later he started throwing up—a lot, frequently projectile, I’m not talking about a little spit-up. I talked with his doc about it & he was sure it was something viral & it would pass, but he did put him on tagamet, which did nothing. It continued & the throwing up was actually getting worse. So I went back to the doc & this time he treated me like I was crazy & insisted it was viral & would pass. But it did not.

At this point hubby decided we should switch him back to the enfamil. So we did. We started it again on a Friday night. He wasn’t throwing up & his stools were normal again. But by Monday morning he had turned into a totally different baby, his personality was totally different. He was a little monster—the screaming at the top of his lungs was never-ending, he was choking on every sip of the bottle, he was kicking, hitting, even pinching. It was totally unreal the change that had taken place before our eyes. This was the child we had early on when we first came home from the hospital. We had assumed the changes for the better were because he was getting older & getting used to life, etc. But now we could see that the changes had occurred because we got him off the enfamil. I know there will be people reading this who don’t believe what I’m saying, I probably wouldn’t believe it myself except that I’ve seen studies done that show that artificial colors & flavors, etc cause temper tantrums in kids. And kids with autism make HUGE improvements when their diets are changed for the better. So yes, nutrition makes a really big difference in temperaments.

So we went back to the Parent’s Choice organic formula at this point. The first day all was well. He was eating calmly & not throwing up & had normal stools. But on the second day the stools turned loose green & the throwing up started up again. At this point I was ready to pull my hair out. I can’t help but think that if we could just get the feeding issues resolved that I would have a perfect baby. There are no other difficulties with him, but these ones are huge.

Now I stop to consider the fact that hubby has lots of food intolerances & things like that. So I suppose the baby might be predisposed to that sort of thing as well. The doc refuses to look at this possibility, so I must do so on my own. I know that it could be lactose-intolerance, but it could also be a milk allergy & I’m sure it could be other things as well. My mother keeps wanting me to try Isomil. That’s the formula I was raised on. But soy is a last resort for me. I’ve read a lot of studies that show that soy is not good. Not to mention the fact that it’s most likely GMO soy. And there’s corn syrup solids in there too, which is most likely GM corn.

I was hoping to find a goat milk formula, but cannot find a single one. So I headed back to look at all the choices in the Parent’s Choice line & came home with 3--one that has rice starch (to reduce vomiting & spit-up), one that is lactose-free, & a soy formula. I am currently trying the rice starch one, it has the best ingredients of the 3. The lactose free one also has corn syrup solids as the #1 ingredient. And of course the soy will be my last resort.
And then hubby calls me earlier & says that a coworker of his says it’s the iron that’s in the formula, that his baby couldn’t tolerate it & it made for green stools & vomiting. But of course they ALL seem to have added iron............so what are we to do??

I am praying for success with one of these 3, hopefully for the one with rice starch. We shall see..................

Updates on the little J

It's been a while now since I've sat down & written a blog...........I do occasionally have the time, but just haven't been in the mood I guess.

As for little J.....well, he's been super fussy & colicky since very early after birth. The first month was really, really tough trying to just understand him & how he expresses his needs & figuring out what he needs when. As all of that started to get a little easier he then started the projectile vomitting & having loose green stools. I keep telling the doc & he keeps insisting that as long as little one is gaining weight (which he definitely is) & not losing all is fine. I really don't agree with this philosophy, just keeping the situation in prayer seems to be all I can do at this point.

He has been wearing size 3 month clothes for several weeks now & he will be 2 months on Monday. Yesterday I was in Target & a lady was in line in front of me with a little boy who was just a little smaller than little one. I complimented her on how cute he is & asked how old he is (expecting him to be around little one's age or a little younger) & she said he's 3 & 1/2 months. Yikes!! I'm no expert on baby sizing, but I'm guessing that little one is big for his age.

He also started teething a few days ago. To my knowledge 3 months is the earliest they start this & he isn't even 2 months yet. But he was getting fussy, drooling A LOT, & chewing on his hand & the nipple of the bottle, etc. We looked in his mouth & can see a tooth just under the surface of the gum!! (This is why I was at Target, buying 'baby orajel', LOL!)

I think that about covers the updates it for now............

Birth details............

My apologies for the delay in posting this, I had meant to post it right away.........our laptop crashed while I was in the hospital & in all honesty it was at the bottom of our priority list right now. It still isn't fixed, but we have another computer set up (from hubby's business) that I am now using.

So on the night of the 18th I started bleeding & having pains every 10 minutes or so. I still wasn't sure if that was what contractions were or not, as it was definitely uncomfortable, but not "unbearable" (although I must admit that while I don't have the highest pain tolerance in the world, I certainly don't have a low one either) So I called the triage line at the hospital & they told me if the bleeding became heavy or my water broke to come in. She said with a first baby it's gonna take a really long time & I needed to wait until I had "unbearable" contractions every 2 minutes for at least 2 hours before I came in. I have to admit that bit about the contractions sounds questionable to me & it's not what my doc told me.........but I didn't go in.

The next morning I was still having pain every 10 minutes or so & was still bleeding. We skipped church, I really wasn't feeling up to it & we were worried about my water breaking or me going into full blown labor in the middle of church. I just rested most of the day. By afternoon the pains were lasting longer & getting a little closer together. After they got to about every 3 minutes or so & were getting more intense I told hubby I wanted to go. We didn't know what traffic would be like (it was good, thank God) & I did't want to risk having the baby in the car.

When we got there they hooked me up & said I was having contractions.  They admitted that they were very strong contractions, yet I was only dilated to barely 1 cm. She had me walk for an hour in the halls. The contractions started to get more painful then. Several hours later I finally asked for an epidural (I wasn't 100% decided if I was going to get one or not) & they said I needed to be at least 3 cm dilated to get one & I still was barely 2 cm at this point. So they gave me medication in an IV (stadol). I have to admit this was my biggest mistake. At this point I was much more miserable. Things became very blurry to me, I can't recall exactly how it all panned out, the pain med made me somewhat confused. I do remember my water breaking & I do remember getting the epidural finally (THANK YOU LORD!!)--that was the greatest thing ever.

Prior to me getting the stadol for pain I was able to mentally control my tolerance of the pain.  Once I got the stadol I lost that ability.  So then I was just trying to sleep it off & I would doze off, but then I would wake up feeling like an earthquake, or wave actually, was rolling over me & I would wake up really scared & suddenly remember that I was pregnant & in labor.  It was really not a nice experience.  I don't recommend getting anything BUT the epidural if you have that option.  It's funny how I was so out of it, yet I was also so very aware of the fact that I was so out of it.

Also my blood pressure was super high (not a problem I have EVER had, not even during my pregnancy) & I wasn't putting out any urine & I ended up having a fever too.   I was starting to go into heart failure, though I don't know what the fever was about.

Then I was told to rest so I would have energy to push when I was finally dilated. The dilating seemed to be my biggest problem, there was no progress being made. Somewhere around midnight, I think, I was dozing off & hubby had gone to get a snack & the nurses rushed in & turned me on my side & put oxygen on me & were giving me medication. When I asked why they told me the baby's heart rate had dropped into the 90's. I was laying there thinking I was going to have an emergency c-section & hubby wasn't even there. He finally came back & was white as a ghost when he saw what was going on. But the baby's heart rate came back up & things settled down again.

The medication they gave me was terbutaline.  They kept injecting it into my arm subcutaneously.  It was really awful stuff, it made me shake uncontrollably.

I was really in shock I have to admit.  Throughout the pregnancy itself I was worried about my baby.  So much stress & my heart murmur & the fact that I had been told I would never get pregnant.  But having made it to 40 weeks, I had felt confident that all would be well.  I never expected to get that far & then have problems arise.  I mean, I'm a health-nut.  I eat super healthy, I workout more than anyone I know, I'm super strong & had expected to push that baby out in no time flat with no complications.

By 6 am they checked my cervix again & I was only dilated to 4 cm. They started the pitocin then. Hubby & I were both exhausted to say the least. Poor hubby had to sleep (TRY to sleep) sitting up in a chair all night.  I was really worried about my blood pressure & lack or urine. They were giving me antibiotics for the fever & they drew blood cultures. They also said my cervix & baby's head were swelling up. But they kept reminding me that baby was looking good on the monitors.

Several hours went by & I was still only 4 cm. I told my nurse I was willing to agree to c-section if that's what was needed. She went ahead & got all the paperwork ready just in case we did go that route.  I wanted what was best for my baby, I didn't want to refuse a c-section (I really hadn't wanted one) & end up harming my child in the process.  I also was super tired & just wanted to the whole ordeal over with once & for all quite honestly.

Somewhere in the early afternoon baby's heart rate dropped once again. At this point we all agreed a c-section was needed. My doc came in & they were gonna do it, but she said she couldn't get an assistant until 4:30. She said she would be back then. But of course little one didn't want to wait that long...........Around 3 or maybe 3:30 (can't remember exactly) his heart rate dropped yet again. This time they couldn't get it to come back up with the terbutaline. It was time for emergency c-section. They were on the phone to my doc, the NICU team, anesthesiologist, etc. By the time they got me into the OR they could no longer find a heart rate at all. I was terrified. All I could do was pray.

I remember they took hubby away, he had to put on scrubs, etc, & enter a different way than I did on the gurney.  I was laying there on the gurney taking deep breaths & praying for my baby.  I remember they asked me if I could feel sensation & I could so they all waited a moment (though everyone was in a major rush, since they couldn't find the baby's heart rate they were all concerned about his survival) & then she started cutting me open.  BUT I WASN'T NUMB YET STILL!!  My arms are tied down so I can't motion to get anyone's attention.  And I had the oxygen mask on, so it was hard to be heard.  Finally hubby came in & was at my side & I had to explain as quickly as I could to him to tell the doc to stop.  He spoke up & everyone seemed so irritated, as if I was holding them up & inconveniencing them.  I do totally understand that my baby's life was on the line, but I also don't want to feel my doc cutting on me!!
When they finally got him out (& they announced it was a boy!) hubby & I heard the first cry & heaved a sigh of relief together. Hubby got to cut the umbilical cord & go to the nursery with little one. I was sewn up & went to recovery & then to my room & waited there for hubby & little one.  While they were sewing me up I got the best compliment of my life as they were all raving over my ab muscles.  Here I am feeling as big as a house, assuming no one would ever know how fit & active I normally am, how much I workout, etc, yet they could still tell, LOL.  I remember I humbly commented that I normally worked out a lot & they all agreed that there was no arguing that, that they could clearly see that & they all gave me major kudos for that, especially at my age.

I remember when I got to recovery I was soooo tired (I had been in labor for well over 24 hours, not to mention the stress level of it all adding to the exhaustion) & all I wanted was to shut my eyes & fall asleep & the nurse just kept talking & talking & asking me questions.  I was getting so irritated.  I remember I was still shaking from all the terbutaline they injected me with right before the c-section.  And I remember I did doze off & suddenly the nurse was telling me "I'm going to inject your IV with demerol to take away the shakes" & she did it before I could tell her "No!"  Within seconds I was vomitting from the demerol & then she was injecting me phenergan.  By that point I was able to say "no more drugs please!"  I hate how every drug just adds another problem, another side effect, to the list of problems that are already occurring.

But praise God our son was ok.  Hubby has pics of when he first came out & his little hands & feet were almost black due to lack of oxygen. It was scary, but he is fine. The swelling & bruising on his head was less & less each day & is now gone.

They let me go home a day early--my doc told me she would let me decide & I really just wanted to get home as soon as possible.

We have been trying to get a routine going with little one & I think we are almost there. The first two nights at home were brutal, but last night went much better. He was taking 2 oz of formula every 3 hours last night. He is really a sweety, everyone says he looks like me. I think he looks a lot like my brother & hubby says from pics he's seen of my dad he thinks he looks like both my brother & my dad.

40 week update

uuuggghhh.....so here I sit at 40 weeks still waiting for Baby Buendia to arrive. I remember back in January having issues while at work & worrying that it would come early. As time has gone on I have been less & less worried about that possibility since the baby has matured more & is stronger & less likely to have problems with each passing day. But I never expected to be waiting this long.....I had really thought it would be here in late March/early April.

I am soooo tired of this. I was going to take a 40 week photo yesterday, but had some family stuff going on (family member in the hospital) & never got to it. As of last night I started bleeding, not a lot, just small amount, but it has continued through the night & into the morning today. Last night I was having sharp pains every 10 minutes, but they eventually faded away, so no actual labor as of yet. We are just sort of sitting & waiting for now..........hopefully the baby will arrive soon.

That's all I have to report for now................

39 week update

Hopefully this will be my final pregnancy blog.

At my last doc appointment it was confirmed that the baby is no longer breech, which made me really happy.

I don't have much to report, just super tired, all is the same except that my swelling in my hands & feet just keep on getting worse & worse. I am positive (& so is my doc) that this is due to my heart murmur. My biggest concern early on in pregnancy was whether or not my heart (I have a heart problem) could handle the strain of pregnancy & it appears to now be really taking it's toll. If this baby doesn't come SOON I may end up in heart failure. This is what happened to a friend of mine who was 38 & had the same heart problem I do & was pregnant. This is my only concern at this point.

The Casa Buendia nightmares continue--we are meeting with our contractor today. We are considering firing him, but will see how it goes. We still do owe him some money & of course we have to negotiate that end of it.

Last night hubby left work a little early & came home & put the crib together--I am soooo pleased. So now we just need the rocking chair--not sure if it'll get put together this weekend or not--we really have a lot going on with the house.

I think thats about all, at least for now, my bed is calling me for a nap..........I hope everyone has a blessed Resurrection Sunday tomorrow.

38 weeks & other updates

I have a strong suspicion that tomorrow(& the weekend in general) will be a VERY busy day--so I had better get this posted today.

So tomorrow I will be 38 weeks according to my ultrasounds. According to my LMP (last menstrual period) my due date is April 22nd & I now find my doc leaning back towards that date..........I have no idea why, it certainly seems to me like the US would be far more accurate.......but whatever, it's only a difference of 4 days. I personally am going to stick with the US due date of April 18th. I am getting more & more impatient--both because I am really tired of being pregnant as well as because I am getting more & more anxious for the baby to be here already!! I've been through quite a range of feelings/emotions, etc throughout this pregnancy, but the excitement is now in full force & is definitely building.

I go to my doc on Monday again. The last 2 Mondays my cervix has been completely closed. But some women start dilating a couple of weeks in advance & some women start & finish in an hour & then there's all the in-betweens so I guess that doesn't really mean ANYTHING AT ALL. At my 36 week appointment she did the GBS (group beta strep) screening & I am happy to report that it's negative. So I won't be needing antibiotics at delivery time for that. Based on what I can feel the baby is still breech & if it remains that way it will be a c-section.....and I would imagine they would give antibiotics automatically with a c-section though.....pretty much any surgery they give antibiotics 'just in case'. They just love giving antibiotics. Hopefully they'll wait til after the baby is out though, so it will only affect me & not the baby. Although I've already taken antibiotics during this pregnancy (for my UTI), but less is always better IMO. Not much else to report really......some days I really feel like crap (cramping, nausea, heartburn, dizzy) & other days I'm tired, but fine aside from that.

As for Casa Buendia--we are still trying to replace all the stuff that's been broken by the painters. It's gonna take a while. We did go through the house last Monday night with our contractor & his top guy (that he left in charge while he was out of the country). At first he was kinda rude about the whole situation--like we were just being extra picky or something. But once he came in & saw our issues he changed his tune quickly. He said there was no way he could defend them. He agreed that he didn't want them coming back to try to fix it anymore than they already had (& he was viewing their third attempt at fixing it, I really wish he could've seen it prior to that, it was REALLY bad). So he agreed for us to have our own guy come in & fix it all. But our guy cannot be here prior to April 13th--he is totally booked.

Tomorrow our dining room floor is being installed--yay!!! And then our carpet is being installed on Tuesday--yay!! Hubby & I are both in agreement to just get this situation done & over as fast as we can (not that we've done anything at all to prolong it). We are tired of both the overall situation as well as our contractor. We still need a mold inspection done (our insurance recommended it & since the water damage must be disclosed when we sell the house having proof of a mold inspection would be a good idea, so we can show it to prospective buyers) & we now need to fight to get the blinds replaced. Not only did the painters break a bunch of them, but the smoke on them will not come off with cleaning, so they are going to have to be replaced. Beyond that once all the paint stuff is fixed & we have finished replacing all the broken items we will be done & can get on with our lives. I still cannot believe how long it's taking & how much of a hassle this all is. I soooooo wish we had just moved out & rented somewhere else.

As for Jardin Buendia--the cilantro & parsley are really growing. The green onions are peeking now too. No other new seedlings have sprouted yet. A lot of my plants from last year are looking a little yellow--I really think I need to fertilize them. And I think something is munching on my pepper plants, so I should probably start spraying them again with my garlic, pepper, seaweed spray (LOVE that stuff!!). It's just really hard for me to work in the garden right now, but I don't want to let it go. Soon the baby will be here & I will physically be able to work in there & I don't want it to get too bad in the meantime. Hopefully hubby can help me with it this weekend.

I'm also hoping we can put the rocking chair together this weekend (since I want it in the dining room & we're getting that floor on Saturday) & then the following weekend we can hopefully get the crib assembled (since we'll have carpet in our bedroom by then). Assuming the baby isn't already here by then..........who knows......

I'm still expecting it possibly for the 10th (just because all our important stuff always somehow falls on the 10th), but hubby is hoping for later. He says everyone at his work knows that at any time I will be calling & he will have to leave, but they are so busy they are all telling him to make me hold it till the end of the month, LOL!!

Anyways, I think that's all the updates for now...........
